Gammaflux L.P., the world’s leading supplier of hot runner temperature control systems, has added the ability to adjust setpoint temperatures in 1/10 degree increments. This further increases molders’ ability to control their hot runner process and is especially helpful in high-precision molding applications.

In order to control in 1/10 degree increments, the controller must “read”, “think” and “report” in 1/10 degree increments. While Gammaflux Triangulated Control Technology® has always provided this performance, the new feature that allows operators to actually adjust the setpoint in 1/10 increments provides them with more control ability than any other temperature controller in the world; and is available in either degrees F or degrees C.

This feature is available on the Gammaflux line of TTC hot runner control systems using the PC-based touchscreen operator interface. TTC systems are available for applications up to 640 zones.

The TTC family includes options that include the original TTC touchscreen interface which features a Windows NT® operating system and can control up to 640 zones; and the TTC International Interface, which is a full-featured, lower cost option that controls up to 128 zones. In addition, the TTC is available as a Panel Mount controller, which seamlessly integrates Gammaflux technology into any injection molding machine’s control panel.

Advanced, user-friendly Gammaflux software comes standard on the TTC controllers and includes Gammavision® (SPC data/graphing), Mold Doctor® (advanced troubleshooting), Mold Monitor (material protection, heater resistance monitoring that predicts heater failure, and heater wattage monitoring that predicts leaks) and Field Calibrator.
