New Option Provides Users with Lower Cost, Simplicity of Operation

Sterling, VA (November 14, 2002) . . . Gammaflux L.P. has introduced a new operator panel for its TTC family of hot runner temperature control systems. The new TTC International Interface provides a full-featured yet substantially lower cost option for hot runner users that want an alternative to the original TTC Touchscreen Interface, Windows NT Operating System.

The new TTC International Interface was designed based on the highly popular Gammaflux GLC hot runner temperature control system. While the GLC is only designed for up to 36 temperature control zones, however, the TTC, when equipped with the International Interface, is usable for systems with up to 128 zones. Now molders can get most of the advanced features of the original TTC Touchscreen Interface with the simplicity of the GLC controller that has become the industry standard in hot runner control around the world since its introduction in 1998.

TTC Hot Runner Temperature Control users now have two interface options:

1. The new TTC International Interface; and,
2. The original TTC Touchscreen Interface, which features up to 256 zones of control, a built-in Windows NT Operating System and additional capabilities.

The advanced Gammaflux software that comes standard on the TTC Touchscreen Interface such as Gammavision (SPC data/graphing), Mold Doctor (advanced troubleshooting), Mold Monitor (material protection, heater resistance monitoring that predicts heater failure, and heater wattage monitoring that predicts leaks) and Field Calibrator, is available free of charge with the new TTC International Interface. Users can load the complimentary software on any computer with Windows 98, 2000, NT or XP Operating Systems to employ the Touchscreen Interface software. This flexibility allows for simple and economical operation on the floor with advanced functionality for the tool room and process engineer via laptop. Virtually all of the features of the Touchscreen Interface are available with the International Interface, at a cost savings of approximately 50%.
The TTC International Interface and the TTC Touchscreen Interface are also interchangeable, giving users "plug and play" capabilities should they desire to switch interfaces.

Newest Addition to the Family

The new TTC International Interface represents the newest addition to the TTC Family of Hot Runner Temperature Control Systems from Gammaflux, which was introduced in 2001. The TTC family of products incorporate a host of features and improvements for hot runner system users, including:

• user-friendly software and now, the choice of two user interfaces
• expanded language conversion options and international icons
• smaller footprint, and smaller price
• flexible, expandable architecture which allows integration into any molding machine's control panel
• enhanced algorithms for tighter temperature control

TTC models are available for handling control of 12 - 256 control zones. In addition, the TTC is available as a "panel mount" system, which allows the Gammaflux temperature control system to be employed by any injection molding machine as a direct tie-in to the machine's regular control panel, eliminating the need for the separate hot runner control cabinet and interface.
Like all Gammaflux hot runner control products, the TTC family features Gammaflux-proprietary PID2 control algorithms, which help deliver smooth, accurate temperature control. Completely modular design allows for quick, easy control card addition and replacement.

Designed for worldwide operation, the TTC family features true global input power flexibility so operators can quickly be up and running. Fast startup, multiple language conversion options, universally accepted icons, and security options all contribute to the systems' ease of use.
