GAMMAFLUX INTRODUCES LINE OF TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR SEQUENTIAL VALVE GATE HOT RUNNER APPLICATIONS

Sterling, VA (March 18, 2009) . . . Gammaflux L.P., the world’s leading supplier of hot runner temperature control systems, has introduced a new line of products specifically designed for sequential valve gate hot runner applications.
Molders of large, complex or difficult to fill parts often use sequential valve gate hot runner systems to achieve numerous benefits, including knit line control, improved straightness, lighter weight parts, and dimensional improvement. These systems use either pneumatic or hydraulic valve gates that are selectively opened and closed to precisely control gating on the part surface, and the material flow front.
The new Gammaflux SVGC systems provide numerous benefits including speed, accuracy and repeatability to help molders gain better control of their sequential valve gate hot runner process. Gammaflux offers systems with both hot runner temperature control and sequential valve gate control in one enclosure, with one interface and one menu for both the hot runner and sequence. These integrated systems can open or close 8, 16, or 32 valve gates. Stand-alone systems are also offered for just sequential valve gate control.
“Sequential valve gating is being increasingly used by molders to produce the best possible parts, shot after shot,” said Mike Brostedt, Director of Market Development at Gammaflux. “We had provided temperature control systems for SVGC in the past, but through extensive input from processors we have now introduced these new controllers that are specifically catered to these applications.”
Benefits of the Gammaflux SVGC controllers include:
- advanced diagnostics for easy troubleshooting
- high speeds (open and close gates every 1 millisecond – 8 output version)
- integrated hot runner temperature control and SVGC in one enclosure
- control of 8, 16 or 32 pneumatic or hydraulic valve gates
- easy calibration
- programmable alarms
Like all Gammaflux hot runner temperature control products, the new SVGC units feature a best-in-industry 5 year warranty (a 2-year warranty applies to the touchscreen interface).
